regarding Louis Bernard, H. O. "Doc" Erickson, the Unit Production
Manager, cabled Herbert Coleman May 4, 1955 that Louis Bernard was a
living fireworks expert in Casablanca. Hollywood had a problem with the
usage in the event there was a living man of that name in either
Casablanca or Marrakech, "so final okay must come from there." (From Herrick)

Re both this note and my previous, since Ken was asking for example(s),
it is the case that my own research to this degree is on THE MAN WHO
KNEW TOO MUCH; but I cannot imagine that other Paramount films made by
Hitch would have been free of this kind of meticulous concern, and it's
because of that that I wrote earlier there were likely many occurrences.

Many other names were problematic, in interesting ways, in the
production of this film. As I have a long ms. pending on this material
I choose at this moment not to say much more beyond the examples I've given.
