Vernon--try your library; there are lots of new books out on African cinema and
some older books like Roy Armes' THIRD WORLD FILMMAKING AND THE WEST.
FILM AND POLITICS IN THE THIRD WORLD is another you might want to check out.
JUMP CUT is a periodical that has published a lot on Third Cinema and CINEASTE
is another one to look at as well.  Learn where your library's FILM LITERATURE
INDEX is located.  If you do your ground work and come to the list with
specific questions or inquiries, people are more likely to be able to help you.
