FLORIDA ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY, School of Communication and Multimedia  
Studies, is seeking an Assistant Professor, tenure track, in Film  
Studies, to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in film history,  
theory and criticism.  Effective date of employment: August 2007.   
Ph.D. required, as well as active publishing record and teaching  
experience.  Interest and/or experience in program building

Studies with an emphasis in Latin American and/or Caribbean Studies,  
to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in international film  
history, theory and criticism; interests may also include third  
cinema, transnational cinema, global media, and documentary film and  
video.  This is an interdisciplinary position, housed in  
Communication and Multimedia Studies, but with participation expected  
in affiliated academic programs.  Effective date of employment:  
August 2007.  Ph.D. required, as well as active publishing record and  
teaching experience.  Interest and/or experience in program building
