The American Film Institute announces a new workshop for television writing:
The Sloan TV Writing Workshop: Fact or Fiction - Writing One Hour Dramatic
Television.
The workshop is an intensive writing program focused on developing one hour
TV dramas depicting accurate portrayals of science and technology in
entertainment. The program is designed to provide a supportive and
challenging environment to encourage innovative writing talent for
television. Up to twelve writers will be selected to participate in a 15
day workshop that will include: staged readings of the participants
scripts; screenings of related work; and seminars with working
professionals in the entertainment industry. The application deadline is
May 5, 1997. Workshop is June 13 - July 2, 1997. For more information and
