I have a similar question to Cory's...

I'm looking to take on a small subtitling project. What are some
economical ways I can do this from home? I've heard that you can buy an
Amiga computer cheaply and run a program from that...but what program?
What should I look for in the Amiga? Are there other options? Suggestions?
Advice?
