  The obvious place for you to start is with a reading of Philip K.
Dick's "Man in the High Castle."  It's story takes place in a United
Stated divided between Germany and Japan, who wore the WWII victors.
Dick, as you most likely know, wrote "Do Androids Dream of Electric
Sheep?" which is the basis of Blade Runner.
