The James M. Cain novel seems to have been an inspiration to quite a few
filmmakers, both in America and worldwide. I am currently looking for films
either directly or loosely based on this book - so far, I am aware of the
1946 Tay Garnett film for MGM, the Bob Rafelson remake, Visconti's
Ossessione, and the most recent version from China, Ju Dou. Does anyone know
of any others?
