Frankly, this is one of those questions that suggests very little
searching on the part of the questioner, but ... Bruce Conner is one of the
most commonly discussed avant-garde filmmakers, so there's plenty
available: I'd start with Scott MacDonald's interview in A Critical Cinema
(full filmography and many references too), but there are good discussions
in almost any study of American experimental cinema -- Sitney, David James,
etc. A good essay on Conner appeared in Film Quarterly 31:4 (Summer 1978),
and another in Wide Angle 8:3/4 (by James Peterson). But again, there's
plenty available -- these are just some of the easy to find sources.
