Film Historian. Radio/Television/Film Dept. Northwestern University, seeks
a film historian with PhD in hand, teaching experience, and a significant
publication record or demonstrated potential for research and publication
required to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in film history,
introduction to film studies, and critical studies. Additional expertise in
any of the following areas is desirable: historiography, national cinemas,
film/media theory, and new technologies. The appointment presumably will be
made at the Assistant level, although applications at more senior levels
will be accepted. The position is full-time, tenure track, starting 9/97,
with competitive salary. Possibility of joint appointments with other
departments and programs. In order to ensure full consideration,
applications and supporting materials must be received by January 31, 1995.
