There is a wonderful German film that was screened during the 1993 (i think)
"New Directors/New Films" festival that is organized every year by NYC's
Museun of Modern Art.  The title escapes me, but it is shot in an
institution for disabled kids (mainly teenagers), and has a narrative
plot that borders their real experience.  Check it out.
