THE WASHINGTON, DC FILM SOCIETY PRESENTS
"CAPITAL OSCARS" ACADEMY AWARDS CELEBRATION
WASHINGTON, D.C. _ Celebrate the Academy Awards right here in Washington at
"Capital Oscars," presented by the Washington, DC Film Society on Monday,
March 27 at
8:00 p.m. at the 15 Minutes Club, 1030 15th Street, N.W.
The extravaganza, a fundraiser for the Film Society and its parent Filmfest
DC, includes a live telecast of the awards ceremony from Hollywood projected
on giant wall
screens, and also features fabulous door prizes, succulent hors d'oeuvres,
lights, cameras, and
lots of action! Attendees may vote for their choices for the top awards
categories, and those
guessing correctly will be entered in a drawing for a very special prize.
Dress is creative
black tie (optional).
Join us for a capital evening at Washington's hottest Oscars party. Tickets
are $15 ($10 if you're a Film Society member) and can be reserved by calling

purchased at the door. All proceeds support the work of the Film Society
and Filmfest DC.
The Washington, DC Film Society is a non-profit organization created by
Filmfest DC and dedicated to an appreciation of quality international and
independent films.
Annual membership fee is $25 and includes at least 15 free sneak previews
and other
events throughout the year. Previews in 1994 included Washington premieres
of Pulp
Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption, Red and Eat Drink Man Woman, all
nominated for Academy
Awards.
