Agh! Which decides what movies are made which decides what movies you are
able to choose from. When discussing film content, you have to reach a
point where you must ask, why these movies? Why Lawnmower Man -a very
light sci-fi picture with no respect for the reality of technology or
people's basic intelligence as opposed to Assimilation -a very intense and
artful look into the psyche of a VR programmer who is obsessed with the
wife who left him. Why? One name. Pierce Brosnan. Attaching him to
Lawnmower Man makes the movie which cancels out the studio's need to have
the other. That's why an actor's choices are important. Lawnmower Man
probably provided not a word of film study while Assimlation would have.
