It would be very helpful to hear from any Indian members of Screen-L
about your experiences with Canadian and American television local programs
in Indian languages, and rebroadcasts from Indian TV. I'm especially
interested in the editing that is done--censorship? Special interests?
Advertiser's needs? How about the use of Punjabi or Hindi vs. English?
I've read tantalizing news items about Canadian censorship of political
programming on Toronto TV. Can anyone explain, comment, or discuss this?
Carol
