I am going to be teaching the 70s movie "Shampoo" to my first-year comp
class beginning next week. The context is sexual relations in the pre-AIDS
decade; the movie follows Andrew Holleran's novel of gay disco life in the 70s,
"Dancer From the Dance," in the syllabus.

Has anyone out there taught "Shampoo" in the past? Any tips on angles that
worked or didn't? Any general opinions about the movie? All appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Steven ([log in to unmask])
