I regard IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE as a narratively marvellously subtle film.
Information is held back or portioned out carefully. The hypnotic style is not
helping any either. Some scenes require many viewings to sort out what happens.

I would like to ask the list members a question. I think I know the answer, but
my point is to find out how clear this has appeared to various viewers.

The question is:
Who is crying in the bathroom and why?
