Memory is a little vague, but I recall hearing an interview with
the guy who shot Spike Lee's Do The Right Thing, where he talked
about using brighter vivid colors for the outdoor shots to
emphasize the heat and intensity of that hot August day.
Hope this helps - maybe other members can fill in the details.
