A team at the University of Guelph in Ontario is midway through
a unique film research project funded by the Social Science and
Humanities Research Council of Canada.
We believe the resulting filmography of approximately 2,500
titles will be of interest to teachers and students of film and
Canadian Studies throughout the world.
We are collecting the titles of films, particularly those made
in non-English speaking countries, where there are references
to Canadian characters or locations.
For example: in THE AFRICAN QUEEN, Humphery Bogart refers to
himself as a "Canuck"; in CAPTAINS OF THE CLOUDS, James Cagney
plays a Canadian bush pilot....and so on.
We should be delighted to receive suggestions of titles you think
we may have overlooked to [log in to unmask]
