Regarding flashforwards, there is one in the movie "The Terminator."
The character played by Michael Biehn (the human sent back to
protect Sarah Conner) explains to Conner (played by Linda Hamilton)
about Earth in the future, and we see many scenes of this barren
land, including the scene where Biehn drops the picture of Conner
and it burns. Since this action takes place in the future, this
makes it a flashforward for us here in 1984.
