Re: disability in pre-Vietnam films?

The best film I've ever seen that deals with war disabilities is "The Best
Years of Our Lives," in which an actor who really lost his arms in WWII
plays a returning soldier who has just lost his arms. It has an all-star
cast and the actor in question won an Oscar.
