There is certainly software that will make the manual transcription
process easier but I doubt there is anything which will automatically
transcribe recordings, since any speech recognition software needs to be
'trained' to each individual voice and the acoustics of each interview. I
don't think there is a universal speech recognition programme that gets
around that.
