You might be interested in a sit-com called THE ASSOCIATES which aired an
episode called "The Censors" which won an EMMY for writing. It was produced
by the team responsible for the Mary Tyler Moore show. One of the producers
was Ed Weinberger.
 
The show involved the calling in of a representative from the gay community
whose opinion TV exectutives wanted about a scene they were going to shoot.
They wanted to know if the scene in question would be offensive to gays.
