I think, coming from a somewhat post-modern sense, that objectivity is somewhat
thrown out in today's journalism, because each individual has his/her own
personal means of viewing the world.  That personal view affects greatly the
manner in which the message is presented to the public, whether the effect is
intentional, or not. (Do you call them Freedom-fighters or guerrilla rebels?)
Also, if the journalist or documentary maker wishes to project the ideas that
the subject matter themselves wish to communicate, the journalist must try to
get into the personal and cultural narrative of the subject, else he/she cannot
know how the subjects view the world and their own condition.  (Does this make
sense?  Hope so.)
