Advice on documentaries....Plan, Plan, Plan...The more planning upfront the
less hassle later. Know your subject...know what documentary standards you are
working towards (always a point of debate).  Also, what market is the
documentary intended for?  From working at the Discovery Channel I've learned
that Discovery and other similar television channels "stage" lots of
documentary footage.  They do this by asking people to repeat actions or to
show them actions.  They don't just document what happens which is often what
is considered true, pure documentary.
