I subscribed to this list for a few months last summer.  It seemed to be
very equipment-oriented, as opposed to technique-oriented (what I was
hoping for).  There was a strong preponderance of talk regarding cameras,
lenses, homemade booms and dollies, etc.
 
I agree with Cal, though.  Subscribe and check it out for a while.
