Dear Andrea,

There's a small reference to the movie at
http://franckiesmovies.free.fr/Derive5.html hinting at positive comments by
Truffaut but these are nowhere to be found online... The same source
mentions D'Alessandro as the gay symbol at the time but doesn't go much
beyond that.

The best would be to get a hold of a copy of a special program on Gainsbourg
that went on "Dépêche du Midi" -a program in the French TV channel ARTE. I
happened to be in Paris at the time: the documentary was very well done and
if I remember well, related well to what you're interested in.

Other than that, when the movie came out Henry Chapier wrote an article in
the parisian newspaper "Le Quotidien". Their archives are not online but
maybe you can access them somehow?

Good luck
Ana Boa-Ventura
