Much of Bazin's work is based in phenomenology.  See comments on him by
Dudley Andrew and Andrew's own work, including THE MAJOR FILM THEORIES
and "The Neglected Tradition of Phenomenology in Film Theory" (in
volume II of Bill Nichols' MOVIES AND METHODS).
