Someone posted this as a sig on another list, and I thought it appropriate
in light of David Desser's recent question about the dearth of good films
and Gene Stavis's response:
 
"Is God dead?" and "Why are there no real movies anymore?" are pretty
much the same question.  They both mean that our symbols and our myths
