To Stephen Hart, re Spike Lee's lecture at Florida State --
Did anyone raise the notion of the Brechtian approach with Lee? I'm
really curious what he would say about that. _Do the Right Thing_ seemed
so strongly in that vein, with the stylized characterizations, the "quoting"
of positions, the political issues, that I've often wondered if he
unconsciously arrived at this through his own artistic process or if he was
thinking about Brecht.
                                                  Regards,
                                                          Robert
