As most of you know, all the messages posted on SCREEN-L pass through
a moderator (me) first who filters out inappropriate ones (spams,
requests to unsubscribe, etc.).

Well sir, the road is a-calling to me. I'm heading to Arizona for a
couple of weeks of communing with cacti and channeling the spirit of
John Ford and Harry Carey (senior *and* junior). Rather than hefting
SCREEN-L with me or finding a substitute moderator, I think I'll just
let SCREEN-L run wild, run free, during that time.

You may see the "noise" level rise just a bit and I thought I'd better
give folks advance warning for that reason. July/August is typically
a slow time for SCREEN-L, though, so I don't reckon it'll be too much
of an inconvenience.

Besides, SCREEN-L old timers will recall that this list began (the
*first* film/TV studies list!) as an unmoderated one. So, just think
of this break from moderating as a return to Ye Olden Dayze.

Don Larsson will continue to handle problems with expired addresses or
unsubscribing during my brief sabbatical. (Bless you, Don!)

Yippee-ti-yi-yay and I'll see you all again in mid-August!
