Re. Lawyers (sleazy) "off the top of the head":
 
        Try "Body Heat"
 
Also, isn't the Buck Henry character (Farnsworth?) in "The Man Who Fell To
Earth" a patents lawyer?
 
        Perhaps not so much sleazy as venal, and both are, more than
anything, out of their depth.
