Production Postion
 
The University of California, San Diego, Department of Communication
is seeking to fill a position at the assistant professor level
(tenure-track, contingent upon available funding) in the area of the
practice and theory of production. Emphasis on video production is
preferred, but we will also consider candidates with significant
experience in digital multimedia, film, photography, theatre, music,
or any combination of these. In addition to demonstrable production
and teaching skills, candidates must demonstrate an ability ot write
and do research in a commucation-related area. Because the
supervision of doctoral dissertations is among the responsibilities
of this postion, a Ph.D is preferred. Candidates holding an M.F.A.,
or others without a Ph.D can be considered if they demonstrate
research and writing ability. Salaries are in strict accordance withs
UC pay scales. Send vita, statement of research and teaching
interests, and names of 3 references by December 1, 1997, or until
