Mi Familia/My Family is a saga about Mexican American family. I think the
film succeeded in showing the racism and deportations from the Anglos.
In spite of that the film didn't make me feel great.

Some Chicana filmmakers said that even if Mi Familia/My Family is trying
to tell the story of one family, the males are protagonists. Even if
there are strong women in the film, they are supporting actresses. Men
are doing things, they tell the narrative story and make changes.
Chicana filmmakers also said that they didn't find the film great and
there isn't anything to look for insprirations and role models.
