Medievalism:

One of the best film depictions of medieval life I've ever
seen was in _The Navigator_, a New Zealand production that came
out a few years ago. The mining village shown in the movie was
little more than a collection of huts and life was nasty and
bleak, as I imagine life would have really been for the majority
of people.

Fans:

Since I've had a mean cold the last few days, I haven't
answered Henry's wonderful posts or Lezlie's critique but I will
when I've had a chance to read some of _Textual Poachers_ and
can sit at the terminal for more than 10 minutes without my eyes
crossing.
