ANNOUNCING THE TOURING SEASON OF THE 1995 UFVA STUDENT FILM & VIDEO FESTIVAL

Now in our third year, the UFVA Student Film & Video Festival is the
world's only touring festival of student work. Independently oriented,
and open
to both film and video from around the globe, each year the festival
surveys and
presents the best in student work worldwide.

This year, we received over 480 entries from 17 countries
and 34 states. 39 films and videos were chosen for the festival
premiere, which takes place each year at the annual University Film and
Video Association Conference. This will be followed by a national tour
of
the festival's best work (last year's tour included screenings at the
American Cinemateque in Los Angeles, the Neighborhood Film/Video Project
in
Philadelphia, the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, and
elsewhere).
Our festival premiere will take place this year during the first week of
August, and our touring season will run from mid-August to early March
1996. The touring package will include original format 16mm
film and 3/4" video. The cumulative length of the touring group will run
several hours, which will allow programmers to pick and choose a program
from among this work which is best suited for their particular audience
and format limitations. The cost of renting the festival package is $200
plus shipping costs. Half the proceeds are paid back to the artists. To
schedule a screening, or for more info, feel free to call me at
1-800-499-8382 (or 215-923-3532) or email.
