Given the nature of the homevideo trade, I doubt that Cassavetes films will be
released (if they haven't already been).  We seem to be moving into an era of
high volume super-market marketing in homevideo.  Even box-office successes on
African-American topics (e.g.,BOYZ N THE HOOD) are not getting exposure
comparable to other mainstream films.
