The American Film Institute invites applications from writers for the
Television Writers Summer Workshop, The Afternoon Special:  Writing for
Teens.  This workshop is an advanced training program designed to encourage
distinctive and innovative work in the development of afternoon specials.
 
9-25 August 1994, in Los Angeles.
 
Deadline for application:  4 May 1994
 
Application fee:  $35
 
Applicants must submit an original unproduced script for a 60-minute (45-50
page) afternoon TV program.
