CONF: Pre-existing Music in Screen-Media: Problems, Questions, Challenges. Virtual meeting, 10-11 June 2021

The Music and Media (MaM) Study Group of the International Musicological Society (IMS) is pleased to announce its 12th annual meeting to be held virtually on June 10-11, 2021. The conference will be hosted by Cleveland State University in partnership with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The presentations will examine the theoretical and practical implications of pre-existing music in a variety of screen media—with special emphasis on cinema, video games, and digital technologies. The two keynote addresses feature

James Buhler, University of Texas at Austin (Thursday) and
Carol Vernallis, Stanford University (Friday).

The conference is free to attend, but registration is required. You can register at:
