Just in case you Americans should have missed it: While Tonya and Nancy
did their Daytime Soap routine there actually were a couple of thousand
athletes competing in several winter sport  events to the enjoyment of
several hundred thousand spectators. Having been a pre-olympic sceptic
I, for one, was completely won over by the fun and enthisiasm of it all.
Just thought I d mention it.
PS! Having Norway getting its main share of the medals of course was a
great help.
