In response to your inquiry about Australian Women's Films, two
immediately come to mind.  Both were made in the 1970s and I think
at least one, if not both, were made by women directors.  "My
Brilliant Career" and "The Getting of Wisdom" are the two that
immediately come to mind.  Both, to the best of my knowledge, have
been released on video, but may be hard to find, since they both came
out in the early part of the 1980s.  Hope this helps you!
