  There were at one time tours available (mainly for Japanese tourists) of
the TWIN PEAKS sites, and I would think the maps to the star's homes (still
sold in Hollywood) would be one of the original links between tourism and
fandom.  But my favorite example is Chris Marker's visiting the VERTIGO
locations in SANS SOLEIL.
