     Public thanks to Cal Pryluck for his expectedly perspicatious
     suggestions of primary documents in American film history. The
     Armat patents, announcement of the rules of the Motion Picture
     Patents Co., Edison patents, Vitaphone and DeForest motion picture
     sound patents have also been suggested. Anyone else have any good
     suggestions? Whose HUAC testimony would be most emblematic of the
     times?
