We are currently involved in studying how physical, sensory, emotional, and
intellectual disabilities are portrayed in the movies. We've located about 2,000
films in general circulation with significant characters with disabilities and
have entered about the first 800 of them into a database.
 
I'd love to hear from others who share an interest in this topic or who have
suggestions about good sources or starategies for locating more films.
