while it's easy enough to get current reviews of classic movies on the web
-- usually
written by video hounds and usually worthless -- i've not found any way of
getting
original newspaper and magazine reviews of older movies, reviews dating
from the
fifties and sixties, written by people like pauline kael, stanley
kaufmann, andrew
sarris, dwight macdonald, etc.

in particular i'm looking for original reviews of movies by hitchcock and
donen

anyone have any idea as to whether these old reviews are in fact available
and, if
so, how one can find them?

thanks much

mike
