But when Butch "comparison shops" the hammer, baseball bat, chainsaw, and
samurai sword, before we see exactly what Marcellus is undergoing, we know
that "dire payback" is already in the offing (so to speak).
 
With regard to your parenthetical remark about having seen or not having
seen enough movies to expect exactly what's revealed behind the door, just
what movies did you have in mind??
