Hull's _Film in the Third Reich_ is pretty good, although it's been
too long since I read it to remember the debunking part, especially
since I was researching Grundgens (of _Mephisto_ fame).  For Jeremy's
purposes, though, and mine--I expect to be teaching a survey similar
