My problem with Debbie Allen as a director is two-fold:  First, people tend
to forget when they see her name in the credits, that directing involves more
than choreography.  Second, from what work of her's that I have seen (esp. the
Quantuum Leap episode), she directs dance scenes okay, but is too obvious in
her straight directing style (I think the term I used when I saw the episode
 was "pushy"
