How about Jean Genet's "Chant d'Amour" which resonates in e.g. Todd Haynes'
"Poison?"  Jonas Mekas' "The Brig" (1964), which is a very cinematic
adaptation of the Living Theater's play would be an interesting choice as
well (it is available through the New York Film-Makers' Coop).
