I find it pretty hard to distinguish "philosophy" from any nu,ber of
other disciplines, to teel you the truth, and that is even harder with
people who write about film. With that in mind I'd reccomend taking a
look at Savoj Zizek, who writes about (among other things) psychoanalysis
and film, particularly Hitchcock. He has a perspective which is certainly
informed by philosophy, although I don't think I'd refer to him (or
anyone) as a philosopher.
