The header says it all. A recent graduate of the Temple MFA program asked
my advice about where to go for a Ph.D.

She's settled for herself the question of whether to go for a doctorate;
the remaining question deals with where to go. She's a very bright student
who should have no difficulty gaining admission to any program.

One of the issues is the quality of a program, the second is the possibility of
financial support. She has taught and could teach full-time but she believes
that her career goals as an academic would be enhanced by a doctorate in the
long run.

She is interested in learning more than she already knows (which is much)
about history and theory to be able to teach in both production and studies
areas.

Any suggestions?
