2nd International Conference on Film Scores & Sound Design
"Cinema & The Sound of Music"


 Last year  saw the world's first international conference on Film Scores &
Sound Design held in Melbourne:  C I N E S O N I C.   International guests
were Howard Shore, Carter Burwell & Yasunori Honda, plus speakers from
around the world including Rick Altman, Royal S. Brown, Liz Weis, Caryl
Flinn, Will Straw, Alan Williams, Sarah Kozloff, Adrian Martin & Philip
Brophy.

 This year's  C I N E S O N I C  will be even better!

 International guests confirmed confired so far: Randy Thom (renowned
surround-sound designer from Skywalker Sound, LA, who sound-designed COLORS,
THE RIGHT STUFF, CONTACT, etc.); Francois Musy (mixer of Jean Luc Godard's
movies since the mid-80s, including PASSION and HAIL MARY); and to be
confirmed, Stewart Copeland (ex-percissionist THE POLICE, composer
RUMBLEFISH etc).

 International speakers will include Claudia Gorbman (author of UNHEARD
MELODIES); Joseph Lanza (author of ELEVATOR MUSIC); Evan Eisenberg (author
of THE RECORDING ANGEL); Kojo Eshun (author of MORE BRILLIANT THAN THE SUN);
Francois Thomas (author of CITIZEN KANE) & more.

 A Special Australian Industry Day  will present panel discussions by the
directors, composer, sound designers and mixers from two recent Australian
films with innovative soundtracks.
